Robert Edward Vought Jr. passed away on February 10, 2013 at 12:10 AM. He was born in Steger, Illinois on November 8, 1946 to Robert E. Vought Sr and Helen Lanham, who have both preceded him in death.
He Graduated from Southern Illinois University and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the 1st Calvary Division. He moved to Florida in the early "90s" and settled in Ocala and was always very active in his Community and a strong advocate for peoples rights. He was Vice president of the Ocala Tea Party for two years as well as being a contender for the Ocala County Supervisor, prior to his illness resulting from Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam.
His favorite pastime was accompanying his good friend flying and had hoped to have his own pilot's license one day.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Frances Ball, of Ocala, daughter Heather Abbate of Crete, Illinois and two grandchildren Alexis and Anthony. Robert asked that there be no formal Service He will be interred at "Florida National Cemetery" 6502 SW 102nd Avenue Bushnell, FL. and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
